Manage your channel - Settings

Overview
When you navigate to your settings, you will land on the overview page where you can access all of your features and settings.
Follow the steps below to access your settings overview page.
  1. Hover over the Dailymotion logo in the top-right of the home page to show your channel menu.
  2. Click Settings from the channel menu to go to your overview page. 
    You can always get back to your overview page by clicking Overview in the left-side settings menu.
If you do not have monetization enabled for your channel, the overview page displays and explains all of the partner features you can unlock by enabling monetization. 
These features include:
Follow the steps below to enable monetization.
  1. Click the Enable Monetization button. A modal box will appear.
  2. After reading the Dailymotion Partner Terms & Conditions, you can agree to them by clicking the I Agree button.
Enabling monetization allows you to start earning revenue from your videos and unlocks advanced features. Learn more about monetization here.

Channel settings

On your channel settings page, you can manage the following:
  • Channel name
  • Whether to automatically feature live streams 
  • Whether to allow reposts of your videos
    Note: Disabling reposts may reduce your number of views and revenue.
  • Activity preferences (when to notify your followers of your activity)
  • Twitter username
To edit your channel settings, follow the steps below.
  1. Hover over the Dailymotion logo in the top-right of the home page to show your channel menu.
  2. Click Settings from the channel menu.
  3. Click Channel Settings in the left-side settings menu.
  4. Customize your channel settings using the checkboxes and text fields.
  5. Click the Save button to save your changes.
Notifications

Notifications are emails that you receive from Dailymotion.
Listed below are the two categories of notifications and their respective options.
  1. Alerts
    • About channels you follow:
      • A new video is available on a channel you follow
      • A live stream starts on a channel you follow
    • About your comments:
      • A new comment is made on a video you commented on
    • About your channel:
      • A new comment is made on one of your videos
      • A video finishes uploading
  2. Other notification and newsletters
    • Summaries
      • Suggested channels to follow (weekly)
      • New follower summary (weekly)
      • Unwatched videos in your watch list (every 3 days)
    • Newsletters
      • This Week's Hits: Our curated weekly digest of trending and noteworthy videos.
Follow the steps below to customize your notification preferences.
  1. Hover over the Dailymotion logo in the top-right of the home page to show your channel menu.
  2. Click Settings from the channel menu.
  3. Click Notifications in the left-side settings menu.
  4. Use the checkboxes to customize your preferences.
  5. Click the Save button to save your changes.
Account settings

On your account settings page, you can manage the following:
  • Email
  • Language
  • Birthdate
  • Country
  • Password
  • Facebook connect
  • Google+ connect
  • Account deletion 
To edit your account settings, follow the steps below.
  1. Hover over the Dailymotion logo in the top-right of the home page to show your channel menu.
  2. Click Settings from the channel menu.
  3. Click Account Settings in the left-side settings menu.
  4. Customize your account settings using the dropdown menus and text fields.
    Note: To connect your Dailymotion account to your Facebook or Google+ account, you must click the Connect to Facebook or Connect to Google+ button and then authorize Dailymotion on Facebook or Google+, respectively.
  5. Click the Save button to save your changes.
To delete your account, follow the instructions at the bottom of the page

Monetization (page)

The monetization page is only visible to users who have not enabled monetization.
Enabling monetization allows you to start earning revenue from your videos and unlocks advanced features. On the monetization page, you can enable monetization and explore all of these features.

Follow the steps below to access your monetization page.
  1. Hover over the Dailymotion logo in the top-right of the home page to show your channel menu.
  2. Click Settings from the channel menu.
  3. Click Monetization in the left-side settings menu.

From the monetization page you can easily enable monetization in two steps.
  1. Click the Enable Monetization button. A modal box will appear.
  2. After reading the Dailymotion Partner Terms & Conditions, you can agree to them by clicking the I Agree button.
